Alex joined Stantec in 2004 as part of the Concepts Group, a specialized team that focuses on reducing environmental impact of the built environment. With over 6 years of experience, Alex specialises in sustainability consulting; analysing resource and energy flows within new and existing buildings, as well as community scale developments. She assists green design initiatives through energy and thermal modeling, life-cycle cost analysis, greenhouse gas quantification, existing building audits, LEED facilitation and co-ordination, research, and incentive procurement.
Alex is the primary energy modeller for the Dockside Green project in Victoria, B.C., and was involved in the development of the Guide to the Integrated Design Process in partnership with Busby Perkins + Will.
