Kathleen Donohue has been involved in the kitchen and bathroom industry for 28 years, practicing design in California, Oregon and Washington.

Kathleen became involved in the cabinet business when she was appointed General Manager of Neil Kelly’s Cabinet Division, where she assembled a team of designers and cabinet technicians to develop the American Craftsman Collection, the Transitions Collection and the Naturals Collection of cabinetry The Naturals Collection, introduced in 1998, was the first of its kind, incorporating formaldehyde-free materials, use of certified and reclaimed woods and veneers, and low VOC, low toxic finish systems. The collection won many awards, including Kitchen and Bath Business Product Innovators Award in 1999.

Kathleen has been an educator with the NKBA for over 10 years, developing course material and seminars, including Theme Design for Kitchens and Baths.

In 1998, McGraw-Hill published her book, entitled “Theme Design for Kitchens and Baths. The book is now published and available through the NKBA.

Many of Kathleen’s award-winning projects have been featured in national consumer and trade publications. She is frequently a featured speaker and presenter at industry conferences and design schools around the country.

Kathleen was featured in an episode of “Modern Marvels” on the History Channel in a program about the history of bathroom design and technology.

Kathleen currently lives and works in Eugene, OR. She manages the Eugene branch showroom for Neil Kelly Co. and designs and sells remodeling projects.
