Scott Lewis is the founder and principal of Brightworks, a Portland-based sustainability advisory firm. Brightworks has 12 employees in Portland and is opening offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and currently manages over 55 sustainability and green building projects in Oregon, Washington, California, Texas, New York, Florida and Colorado. Their projects comprise over 15 million square feet of space in development with construction value of over $4 billion. Brightworks projects include the first LEED Gold-certified US courthouse, the first LEED Gold condominium and the largest LEED Platinum project in the world. Their client list includes BP, Disney, federal and state governments, the University of California system and some of the largest national Real Estate Investment Trusts.
Scott has an economics degree from Colorado College and is a graduate of Stanford Law School. He is the author of two books on environmental subjects, loves camping with his kids, and a good glass of Bordeaux.
